Input and Output Reactors for Drives
Line Reactors are a must to be used along with general ac drives/converters. The reactors limit the harmonics fed back to supply and also the super imposed AC currents in the DC link capacitors. The residual impedance characteristics vary for operation with converters with or without regenerative feedback.
In this case the inductance is a function of core saturation and hence current dependant.
Output reactors reduce the dv/dt i.e the voltage rate change at the motor terminals. They also reduce the charge current spikes for long cables. However these shall not have much effect on the magnitude of the transient spikes to the motor terminals.
Standard reactors have pulse freq up to 3.5 kHz and output freq up to120 Hz
PPT makes input (line) reactors and output reactors for all kinds of AC drives of ratings up to all power ratings
